Summer Grass Trio

A stunning mix of three drought-busting grasses, selected for their superb colour, texture and habit. These adaptable grasses bring colour and movement to borders, rockeries and gravel gardens where they provide useful ground cover. Alternatively, plant them into patio containers as a striking textural contrast to other perennials.

Summer Grass Trio comprises the following varieties: 

• Imperata ‘Red Baron’ – Unusual grass that provides a vivid burst of colour at the end of the summer just when other plants are beginning to fade. The leaves emerge with green bases and red tips, intensifying in colour to take on fiery red hues as the summer progresses into autumn. Height & Spread: 50cm (20”).
• Festuca ‘Sunrise’ – Blue-green foliage tipped with copper-orange in autumn, blending beautifully with its late summer display of orange-red flowers. Height and spread: 30cm (12″).
• Hakonechloa ‘Aureola’ – Striped green and yellow swards, which are tinged red in autumn, with a gorgeous cascading habit that immediately captures that Japanese garden look. Height: 35cm (13″). Spread: 40cm (15″).
