A rarely seen blue selection of this spectacular Redwood, with steely coloured foliage and deeply furrowed, spongy, chestnut-red bark. Sequoiadendron giganteum ‘Glaucum’ has an upright, columnar habit that is slightly narrower than the species but equally majestic. This large, evergreen conifer reaches epic proportions when grown with sufficient space and the right conditions. It prefers a dry climate and therefore rarely reaches its highest potential in the UK, but does nonetheless make a very tall specimen tree. Ideally suited to parklands, large public areas. Height: 50m (164′). Spread: 10m (32′).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
