Salvia microphylla ‘Blue Monrovia’ is a bushy, shrubby perennial. In mild areas it may remain evergreen, although generally considered a semi-evergreen where winters are harsh and the plants are given no protection. This pretty Sage forms an upright clump of small, grey-green leaves contrasting nicely with the mauve blue flowers from July to September. Like many Salvia, the foliage is aromatic and the flowers are loved by bees and other pollinating insects. A beautiful choice for the summer perennial border, or grown in a container on the patio. Although hardy, this charming perennial will appreciate a sheltered position in the garden. Height: 1m (39″). Spread: 80cm (31″).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
