Phlomis tuberosa ‘Bronze Flamingo’ is an unusual but hardworking pink phlomis variety that is ideal for sunny borders, gravel gardens and prairie planting. Whorls of mauve-pink or soft lilac flowers are held at intervals along the stiff, upright stems, which themselves are a striking reddish purple. The tiers of tubular flowers open in sequence to give a long summer flowering season. During autumn and winter, these architectural flower stems are retained as very attractive and interesting dried seedheads, which rise above the downy evergreen leaves to provide habitat for little creatures. Requiring virtually no maintenance, this drought-resistant hardy perennial thrives in a sunny spot with good drainage. Height and spread: 100cm (39in).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
