Mangave Duo

Mangave are strikingly architectural plants that are hybrids between Agave and Manfreda, combining the best qualities of both. These fleshy evergreen perennials form a tight rosette of pointed leaves, giving a bold silhouette that will become the centre of attention in any sunny border, gravel garden or patio pot! Exuding a truly exotic feel and thriving on dry conditions, these Echeveria-like succulents are perfect for drought-prone areas and tricky sandy soils. Mangaves are hardier than most agaves and can be grown outside all year round in areas with very mild winters such as coastal and city gardens, but like most tender perennials, will otherwise need to be brought into a frost-free greenhouse or conservatory over winter. • Mangave ‘Moonglow’ – straight, narrow, silvery blue-green leaves with large purple blotches. Height: 25cm (10in). Spread: 50cm (20in).
• Mangave ‘Pineapple Express’ – minty green, spear-shaped leaves with contrasting dark burgundy spots, forming a rosette that looks like the top of a pineapple! Height: 40cm (16in). Spread: 50cm (20in).
