Hypericum olympicum ‘Citrinum’ is distinctively different and a rather finer plant than the common and tough looking Hypericum which is regularly used for hedging and bares brassy yellow flowers. Hypericum olympicum ‘Citrinum’ is an RHS AGM winner which forms neat little mounds of tiny, blue green foliage covered in huge, pale lemon flowers bursting with very long, starry stamens.
Like other Hypericums, it goes on flowering for several weeks over the summer. This trouble-free, semi-evergreen shrub is easy to grow just give it a quick trim after flowering. Use it in a dry Mediterranean border, rockery or gravel garden where it will thrive in a drought-prone, sunny position. Height and Spread: 30cm (12”).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
