Houttuynia Cordata

A charming ground cover perennial with aromatic, heart shaped foliage and mahogany red stems. Throughout summer, pristine white flowers sit atop each stem, contrasting elegantly with the dark green leaves. Houttuynia cordata has a vigorous, spreading habit that will quickly form a dense carpet where conditions are favourable. This hardy perennial is extremely versatile, thriving almost anywhere from thin, dry soils to the wet margins of ponds. Height: 30cm (12″). Spread: 100cm (39″).
