Holm Oak hedging (also known as Quercus ilex Readybag Hedge) can be an ideal choice when instant privacy is required. This fast-growing evergreen creates a dense and greenery-filled hedge quickly, without the need for waiting a long time for growth. Holm Oak is tolerant of most soils and environments, though it does best in warmer climates and well-drained soils. It puts on new growth usually in May to June, which is oftentimes covered with tawny-beige or white indumentum fur that will fade over time. Holm Oak hedging has versatility in its shapes, textures, and sizes, so some customization can be added when planting if desired. One should keep in mind that Holm Oak will grow into a very large tree if left untrimmed for a considerable time, making it even more important to choose Holm Oak when seeking an instant hedge solution.
