Hebe ‘Super Red’

Selected from Hebe ‘Red Edge’ parentage, this hardy evergreen shrub is virtually identical, but with much improved colouring to its winter foliage. New shoots emerge purple-red and gradually mature to grey-green with red margins. As autumn progresses the entire plant turns a rich, wine-red colour that will light up borders and containers through the coldest months. Although primarily grown for its foliage, the lilac-blue summer flowers certainly add to its appeal. With a compact, rounded habit, this neat little hardy shrub is undemanding and low maintenance. Perfect for growing in containers, rockeries, at the front of sunny borders, or as a low evergreen hedge. Height and spread: 60cm (24″).
