Well suited to the British climate, Fig ‘Dalmatie’ is one of the hardiest cultivars for a south facing wall. This well regarded variety produces some of the largest fruits with rich amber flesh and a superb flavour. Although capable of producing 2 crops per year, the initial fruits do not tolerate temperature fluctuations and often drop before ripening. However, the second crop in late siummer is so prolific, and the fruit so large, that they more than make up for this. Highly productive and self fertile, Fig ‘Dalmatie’ has a neat, compact habit that is ideal for smaller gardens where space is at a premium. Height: 250cm (98″). Spread: 200cm (78″).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
