It’s easy to see why Eriophorum angustifolium is known as the Common Cotton Grass. Fluffy white flower heads look like cotton wool balls floating among clumps of grassy foliage. This appealing British native is often seen on boggy, acidic peatlands and makes a lovely marginal aquatic. Hardy and evergreen, this perennial is an excellent choice for boggy ericaceous soils and providing valuable cover for wildlife at the edges of ponds. Height: 45cm (18″). Spread: 100cm (39″). Planting depth: Zones 1, 2 & 3 to 20cm (8″) below water level.
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
