Rarely available to buy, Carex acuta is a native perennial grass found in rivers, streams and lakes throughout the British Isles. The Slender Tufted Sedge forms clumps of tall stems that provide excellent cover for wildlife. The brown blooms appear from July to August above the green, grassy foliage. Perfect for planting in boggy or wet soil in wildlife gardens, ponds and streams. Height: 90cm (36″). Spread: 50cm (20″). Planting depth: Zone 1 & 2 to 15cm (6″) below water level.
