Commonly known as the Giant Marsh Marigold, Caltha palustris subsp. polypetala is one of the larger species of Caltha. From April to June its golden flowers herald the Spring with a vibrant splash of bright yellow. Whilst in flower, this hardy marginal aquatic will form a large mound of glossy green foliage that gradually dies back after the flowers fade. This superb spring perennial will certainly make a big impact when planted at the edge of ponds. Height: 90cm (36″). Spread: 90cm (36″). Planting depth: Zones 2 & 3 to 20cm below water level.
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
