This exotic looking perennial grass is undeniably impressive. The sturdy, upright stems, reaching up to 180cm (70″) tall, are draped in variegated ribbon-like foliage with wide cream margins. Grown for its dramatic foliage and bamboo-like stature, the Giant Reed makes an elegant pot-plant for the conservatory. Arundo donax ‘Variegata’ may also be grown at the back of moist, sunny borders adding height and architecture in late summer. When grown outdoors, this half-hardy perennial should be lifted and moved to a warm, frost free position during the winter months, to be replanted the following spring. Height: 180cm (70″). Spread: 60cm (24″).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
